Continuing Education Information for the state of Vermont

A Vermont energy goals education module is required for each renewal. Property Inspection licensees must complete the module for the renewal cycle that ends on 6/30/2025 and each renewal cycle thereafter.

Additional information for becoming a Home Inspector in Vermont

To become a licensed home inspector in Vermont, you must complete the following steps:
  1. Applicant must be 18 years or older.
  2.  
  3. Applicant must possess either a High School Diploma or GED.
  4.  
  5. Applicant must complete 80 classroom hours of approved pre-licensing education.
  6.  
  7. Applicant must complete and pass the National Home Inspector Exam.
  8.  
  9. Applicant must submit their application with the initial application fee of $100.
