Additional information for becoming a Home Inspector in New Hampshire

To become a licensed home inspector in New Hampshire, you must complete the following steps:
  1. Applicant must be 18 years or older.
  2.  
  3. Applicant must possess either a High School Diploma or GED.
  4.  
  5. Applicant must complete 80 hours of training approved by the New Hampshire Board of Home Inspectors.
  6.  
  7. Applicant must pass the state examination (scheduled through the state website).
  8.  
  9. Applicant must complete and pass background check.
  10.  
  11. Applicant must possess General Liability insurance. No specific amount is specified.
  12.  
  13. Applicant must submit their application with the initial $200 application fee.
