Additional information for becoming a Home Inspector in Illinois

You must complete the following steps to become a licensed home inspector in Illinois:
  1. 60 hours of pre-license education from an education provider approved and licensed by IDFPR-DRE.

  5. Take and successfully pass the Home Inspector Examination for Illinois, which consists of the National Home Inspector Examination and a section concerning Illinois statutes and regulations.
